Questions about running your salon on Salvoro
The answers that are not already on another page — and, below them, a map to the ones that are.
Getting your team on it
The first week, and the things that are easier to know before you hit them.
Do I have to finish setting up before I can start using it?
Only the first part. The guided setup asks for your salon's details, your services and your WhatsApp number. The salon details are compulsory, because a bill and a booking page need a name, phone and address. Services can be skipped and added whenever you like — the dashboard keeps a reminder until you do. WhatsApp has to be linked before you finish, since every reminder and bill leaves through it.
Does everyone need their own login, or can the front desk share one?
Their own, and it costs nothing extra — you are not charged per person. Each person you add gets their own account and has to set a fresh password the first time they sign in. Sharing one is worth avoiding for a reason that only shows up later: the activity log can name the account that changed a bill, but not which of four people was sitting at it.
What is the difference between an owner, a branch leader and a staff member?
Three different views of the same salon. The owner sees every branch at once or one at a time, and is the only one who reaches what the business pays unless they hand that out deliberately. A branch leader runs the branches they were given and sees nothing outside them. A staff member gets a simplified portal — their day, their attendance, their own numbers — and reaches more only if you grant it.
I gave someone permission and the screen still isn't there. Why?
Because there are two switches and they do different jobs. A permission decides what a person may do; the branch's module list decides which parts of Salvoro that branch uses at all. If a module is switched off for the branch, nobody there sees it however their permissions are set. Open Branch Leader Modules in that branch's access settings before changing anyone's permissions.
Your records, and who can reach them
Not how one salon is kept apart from another — that is answered on the security page — but what happens on our side of it.
Who at Salvoro can see my salon's records?
The people who run Salvoro can, and not quietly. Support access works by signing in as your owner account, which will not start without a written reason, records an entry when it begins and another when it ends, and stamps every action taken in between. Those entries appear in your own Activity logs marked “impersonated”, so it is visible to you rather than only to us.
Will Salvoro ever message my customers itself?
No. Every message leaves from the number you linked, in wording you can edit, and only for the reminders, receipts and follow-ups you switched on. Nothing is ever sent to your customer list on Salvoro's own account, and it is never used to market anything to them. Our own alerts about your account go to our operations team, not to the people in your customer list.
Is my customer list used for anything besides running my salon?
No. The only outside services that see any of it are the ones that have to — the gateway that delivers your WhatsApp messages, and the payment gateway for your own subscription — and the privacy policy lists all of them. The analytics on this marketing site are not present inside your workspace, on your booking page, or on a bill a customer opens.
Worth knowing before you decide
Where the answer is partly, or not inside the app at all.
Is Salvoro available in Hindi?
No. The interface is English throughout — menus, buttons, screens and reports — and there is no setting that changes it. What you type is a different matter: customer names, service names and your WhatsApp wording are saved and sent exactly as you write them, so you can message customers in Hindi from an English screen. A translated interface is not on the near roadmap.
Is there someone I can talk to when I get stuck?
Yes, by phone or email. There is no help desk built into the app, so there is nothing to raise a ticket in and nothing to wait in a queue behind. Write from the email address on your account and name your salon, and we can find it without a round of questions first. The number and the hours are on the contact page.
Where each subject is answered in full
Each of these has a page that owns it and answers it properly, including the parts where the answer is no. They are not repeated here, because two versions of one answer help nobody.
